Statement from Currie Dixon on Larry Bagnell not seeking re-election

“I would like to thank long time Yukon MP Larry Bagnell for his many years of service to the territory.

“As a father myself, I know how difficult politics can be on family life. The fact that Larry represented the territory for almost two full decades in Ottawa is a testament to his dedication to improving the lives of all Yukoners.

“Larry was certainly a champion of the Yukon regardless of which party formed government at the federal or territorial level, and he repeatedly demonstrated that he could work with all four levels of government.

“He was also a dedicated volunteer at many events throughout the Yukon, and while he may be spending more time with his family, knowing Larry, he will continue to give freely of his time.

“I wish Larry and his family well as he begins a new chapter.”
