Benoit was elected to the Yukon Legislative Assembly as the MLA for Whistle Bend South on November 3, 2025. She was named Minister of Highways and Public Works on November 22, 2025.
Benoit graduated from the Northern Collaborative Information Technology program at Yukon University and is a certified National Health and Safety Administrator. She enjoys learning and is often enrolled in coursework in accounting, business, or health and safety.
Prior to entering politics herself, Benoit worked with former Premiers Dennis Fentie and Darrell Pasloski. She was also a small business owner and manager for almost twenty years. Starting with an information technology company in 2008 and moving on to owning a bookkeeping and small business support company in 2014. Benoit co-managed a roofing and building envelope construction company from 2019 until her election in 2025.
Benoit is a passionate volunteer and has served on many boards of directors for community organizations in the past, both at a local and national level. She has been involved with Equal Voice, the Canadian Coalition of Women in Engineering, Science, Trades and Technology (CCWEST), YWITT, the Youth of Today Society, and the Yukon Contractors Association.
