Jen Gehmair was first elected as the MLA for Marsh Lake-Mount Lorne-Golden Horn on November 3, 2025. She was appointed Minister of Economic Development, Minister of Tourism and Culture, Minister of the Public Service Commission and Minister responsible for the Yukon Liquor Corporation, on November 22, 2025

Gehmair is a collaborative leader and dedicated public servant with more than two decades of experience across the Government of Yukon, including more than a decare in senior leadership. Before her election, she served at the Assistance Deputy Minister in the Department of Health and Social Services, providing strategic oversight of complex social programs. She championed integrated, community-driven approaches to housing, wellness, and service delivery for Yukoners.

Gehmair is a born and raised Yukoner with a long history of community involvement. Over the past decade, she has trained and served as ae Marsh Lake Emergency Medical Responder and supervisor and has been a member of both the Marsh Lake Community Association Board and the Marsh Lake Emergency Services Board.
