Remembrance Day

On November 11, we join all Yukoners and Canadians across the country in paying our respects to those who have served or are serving our country with dignity and distinction. Their sacrifices will not be forgotten.

National Aboriginal Veterans Day was also observed on November 8 and we thank and recognize those Indigenous Yukoners and Canadians who have served and sacrificed for this country.

Like many events in 2020, traditional Remembrance Day ceremonies will look different with a limited number of in-person commemorations. The National Remembrance Day Ceremony can be viewed online or through traditional media sources.

Leader Currie Dixon will pay his respects in an outdoor ceremony in Haines Junction.

We encourage all Yukoners—regardless of where they are—to pause for a moment of reflection on November 11 to remember the sacrifices.

We thank those who made the ultimate sacrifice and gave their life protecting our freedom.

Lest we forget.
