WHITEHORSE – In an effort to support Canada’s response in reducing the spread of COVID-19, and identifying the critical need for personal protective equipment in the North, Suncor Energy delivered 12,000 N95 masks to Whitehorse over the weekend. 

In response, Stacey Hassard, Leader of the Yukon Party Official Opposition, issued the following statement:

“It is really encouraging to see the resource and private sector step up to support Canadians and Yukoners in this time of need.

“We all have a role to play when it comes to reducing the spread of COVID-19 and this generous donation will help protect essential health workers as they keep Yukoners safe.

“I want to thank Suncor Energy for being a leader in making the health and safety of Canadians and Yukoners a priority.”
