On October 2, 2018 the Premier made this statement in the House:
“I’m just touching on some of the things that the member opposite brought up before he went into, I believe, the next thing, which was the FTEs. I believe he asked what the total was of all FTEs. All FTEs in Yukon government — 4,913 in total. If we went back to the 2016-17 budget, which would be the last budget of the Yukon Party — at that time, there were 4,414 FTEs including an increase to Education at that time as well.”
On March 7, 2019 the Premier made this statement in the House:
“We do have another 160 FTEs that were added to the 2019-20 main estimates to provide a variety of programs.”
If you include the 499 FTEs the Premier referenced in October and the 160 FTEs he referenced in March that adds up to a total of 659 FTEs.
