Hassard Announces Changes to Official Opposition Critic Portfolios

WHITEHORSE – Stacey Hassard, leader of the Official Opposition, today announced changes to the Shadow Cabinet of the Official Opposition.

“We are now over 25% of the way through the Liberals’ mandate and unfortunately their lack of action has meant that many major files have stalled while the government has broken key election promises,” said Hassard. “Our strong team will continue to hold the government accountable to ensure they spend taxpayers’ money wisely and keep life affordable for Yukon families.”

The Economic Development portfolio will move from MLA Kent to MLA Istchenko; Community Services moves from Kent to MLA Van Bibber; Housing moves from Istchenko to Van Bibber; Education moves from Van Bibber to Kent; and MLA Cathers will take on the role of Deputy House Leader.
